The Word: Kendi (Self / Own)

Kendi is used to emphasize that an action is done by the person themselves or for themselves. It must take possessive suffixes to match the subject.

Kendi with Possessive Suffixes:

  • Kendim: Myself

  • Kendin: Yourself

  • Kendisi: Himself / Herself

  • Kendimiz: Ourselves

  • Kendiniz: Yourselves (plural/formal)
