Making Comparisons in Turkish (Karşılaştırma)

To compare two people or objects in Turkish, we use the word Daha (More) combined with the ablative case suffix -DAn (From/Than). The adjective always describes the first subject mentioned.

💡 Grammar Structure:

$$Subject 1 + Subject 2 + (DAn) + daha + Adjective$$

  • -DAn: The "than" part of the comparison. It changes to (dan, den, tan, ten) based on vowel harmony.

  • Daha: Equivalent to "more" or the "-er" ending in English (e.g., faster, taller).
